Designed for Combat Vehicle Crewmembers (CVC) to provide warmth and protection while working in and around armored vehicles. It's often worn over CVC coveralls
Material: Constructed with High-Temperature Resistant (HTR), non-melting fabric, typically 100% Aramid (a synthetic fiber known for its flame-resistant properties).
Insulation: Features thick, quilted insulation for cold weather use. The recommended temperature range can be roughly from 14°F (-10°C) to 68°F (+20°C)
Torso Length: Characteristically has a short torso or waist-length cut, designed to prevent bunching while sitting in the confined spaces of a combat vehicle.
Closure: Full-zip front (often featuring a Scovill zipper on vintage models).
Pockets:
Two front slash hand warmer pockets with hook-and-loop (Velcro) closures.
A zippered pocket on the upper left arm, often including four small pen slots.
Cuffs and Waist: Features rib-knit cuffs and a rib-knit waistband for a secure fit and to help seal in warmth.Rescue Feature: A distinguishing and crucial feature is a heavy-duty strap sewn into the back panel, often accessible through a self-closing hook-and-loop slit.
